What's the difference between a build and a care plan?
A build is a one-time project with a fixed scope — you get a finished, launched WordPress site or Shopify store. A care plan is the ongoing work that keeps it fast, secure, updated and converting after launch.
I already have a website. Can you make it convert better instead of building from scratch?
Yes. Most existing sites have the right information but the wrong flow. We run a conversion audit, restructure the layout, tighten the messaging, improve calls-to-action, fix mobile friction and speed up the pages — so your current visitors turn into leads and bookings faster. You can keep the platform you're on or migrate later.
Why is Shopify care priced higher than WordPress care?
A store is revenue infrastructure. Shopify care covers theme and app updates on a duplicate theme, checkout and conversion monitoring, product and collection work, and app-conflict triage — all of which cost money the moment they break.
What is AI search visibility (AEO)?
Answer Engine Optimization makes sure ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews can find, read and cite your pages. Every KentonPress build ships with schema markup, an llms.txt file and open AI crawler access from day one.
How do you handle updates without breaking my site?
Staging-first, always. WordPress updates are tested on a staging copy; Shopify changes are made on a duplicate theme and previewed before publish. Nothing goes live untested.
What's your response time?

Can I cancel a care plan anytime?
Yes, with 30 days' notice. No lock-in, no penalty, and you keep everything — site, theme, hosting access and documentation.
How does the $299/mo website package work?
Instead of paying $4,000–$10,000 upfront, you pay a small onboarding fee and a flat monthly rate. We design and build your site, launch it, then maintain, host, monitor and improve it every month — plus your growth automations. Cancel with 30 days' notice after the initial 12-month term.
What are the growth automations, exactly?

Do I need a separate CRM or automation subscription?
No. The platform licence, phone number, CRM, calendars, automation builds and monthly management are all inside your KentonPress package. Call minutes and SMS/email sends are billed at cost above a generous included allowance.
Do you have any hidden fees or extra costs?
No. The monthly package price covers the website build, hosting, maintenance, the CRM, the automations and the monthly management. We only bill extra for things outside the plan — like custom copywriting, paid ad management, or additional call/SMS usage beyond the included allowance — and we always quote those first. What you see is what you get.
Where is the work actually done?
Everything is designed, built and maintained by our team in Buffalo, New York. We do not outsource overseas or hand your project to a rotating pool of contractors. You get one accountable US-based team from start to finish.
